Simian Mobile Disco "ATTACK (Decay Sustain Release)! 20 September 2007 at 12:19 PM EDT by Brenden

Soooooooooo... the other say my State Crime partner Sam and I went to see Simian Mobile Disco at the Empty Bottle in Chicago. I was lucky enough to meet James Ford while I was there (who produced every 'new rave' record; i.e. Klaxons, To My Boy etc) and the show was amazing. All the details are over at In Search Of Arcadia but I thought I'd give you guys the videos right off the bat! Enjoy!

And I also EXCLUSIVELY posted this little gem (over at 'Arcadia') that will keep the club rocking til about 2008 :)

WE ARE BACK! WHAT DO YOU KNOW! 1 September 2007 at 12:40 PM EDT by Brenden

It's been a minute right? Too many star studded nights and champagne flutes to get around to updating this thing really...

...just kidding just kidding. More like up to my eyeballs in mouse shit and credit cards bills! BUT THE SHIP SAILS ON! Which means we have all the cool shit we've promised you in the past and are going to make it a reality! I think more shirts and stickers and promos and shit like that are on their way...

So keep your eye on this space... we're going to set it up so that any page from "In Search Of Arcadia" (http://insearchofarcadia.blogspot.com) that has the tag ALBION in it will get posted up over here insuring loads of content on this bizznatch!

Since we are Babysmables/Libertines-centric over here at Albion how about this gem to tide you over...

Or if you desire something more out there... and more hipster... and more dripping with raw sexuality and disco flavoured ecstasy...

And lastly the most memorable single in the last 12 months that should have blown up in the U.S....

Klaxons liner 5 April 2007 at 11:27 PM EDT by Charles

So Brenden sent me a link to a YouTube video clip of a Klaxons documentary. In it, they're talking about life on the road, and one of the clips is of them recording the liner/station ID they did for our radio show.

Following recording the liner, they said, as an aside, that our station is "probably the shittest fucking station in America, isn't it?" — a new dubious distinction for WIDR.

Now that English bands have begun to throw smarmy comments our way, we've made it to the big leagues. Blur vs. Oasis vs. The Spirit of Albion, here we come!

Video (start at about 1 minute in):

Thanks for everyone's pledges 1 March 2007 at 08:12 AM EST by Charles

Thanks to all our listeners who called in and pledged during WIDR week. We were able to double our total from last year, plus $4! You're all awesome.
